Some people just don’t know when to go home, do they? We are the overstayers from the Christmas caravan rally parked around the back of Geoff and Eileen’s house. But they don’t really mind, they assured us. We had a busy day today, places to go and things to do, both for the caravan club and also organising a few things for Robin’s Mum’s 90th birthday which is fast approaching.
The two blokes cooked up some rather fancy sausages on the BBQ for our evening meal, Merino and Thyme, and Beef, Blue Cheese and Cracked Pepper. With red onions and mushrooms also done on the barbie, and a salad each, it was a very tasty meal.
Eileen had been busy in the kitchen and produced Rhubarb Crumble for dessert. We certainly weren't going to go hungry, were we?
Our solar powered Santa head on the caravan draw bar has been soaking up the sunshine every day. Come evening, his face gives off quite a ruddy glow – what a jolly looking Santa he is.
It’s been a very laid back type of day, and we are heading home tomorrow. But not before we thank our hosts for letting us stay on their property by cooking them the obligatory Big Breakfast.
