Success is getting what you want; happiness is liking what you get

Busy, busy

It’s all go this time of year, isn’t it?  Various clubs have their wind up meetings of the year.  Then there are the decorations to put up (my job) and the fairy lights to string up (Robin’s job).  After he finished string lights up outside, he decided to put an extra string inside in the lounge.  With the outside lights flashing, the inside lights flashing, and the fibre optic snow scene and small Christmas tree flashing as well, it’s just about enough to bring on a migraine!  But it does look pretty.

Not forgetting the Christmas cards to write out, and my first ever Christmas cake baked (hope it tastes as nice as it smells) we are just about worn out.  And Robin’s Mum is having her Big 90th Birthday just before Christmas too, so there’s a bit of organising to do for that.  All I can say is – thank heavens our days in the work force are over.

The cat is busy snoozing, and Robin has his feet up, so it’s probably time to put the jug on for a cuppa.  We’ve got another big day tomorrow, a combined Christmas and Birthday celebration, and two hours driving each way.  Better have a rest now while we can.
