Trailers and Telephones

It was a matter of “up and away” early yesterday morning to get the furniture trailer back on time.  The Hire yard was busy with blokes all doing the same thing, trailers and machinery of all kinds were being dropped off and the paperwork finalised.  Our trailer worked well over the weekend.  Not like this customer who told us he shredded the tire, and then the spare was flat.  He was not a happy chap at all!  We received our very first piece of mail in our new  letter box - a PR letter from the hire company saying “I trust your experience in dealing with was enjoyable and that the equipment performed well”.  Wonder how this disgruntled customer will reply to that?

The Telecom man came in the afternoon and made short work of fixing the telephone line and putting us on broadband.  Seems that Robin has to find a router or some such piece of equipment still buried in the depths of the lock-up to make it all work properly.

Last evening’s sun set was very striking.  It was more golden hued than the average orange colour with rays of light reaching out into the clouds.    A lovely peaceful finish to the evening.
