The builders have really been busy this week. We were amazed at all the changes we could see on the outside when we arrived. The roof on our new home is now on, a dark green shade called “Karaka”, and the guttering in the same shade has been installed. All the windows are now in place, plus the two ranch slider doors. A house load of bricks has been put on site to await the attention of the bricklayer, and a big pile of top soil has been delivered for landscaping the grounds.
It was just as exciting to check out the changes inside. As promised, the fire wall had been installed in the garage walls between the two units. Both the plumber and the electrician have been hard at work. Tubes, wires and pipes are hanging down everywhere. The electrician has also installed a switchboard in the garage and a meter box outside the house
And here is our entry door in the same dark Karaka green colour as the roof, waiting to be installed. The doors and windows all come pre-hung so installation is quick and easy these days.
The building is going along so well, and we are most impressed. It looks like our expected move-in date of early March will be achieved.
