R...We had the calmest crossing I could have wanted. Rained most of the early morning, then set in seriously from after 9.am. no road closures advertised ,so off we set. However not far out of Renwick,a sign saying road close, a few more km on,all roads open, then 4 men, their little roadside hut, all Kaikoura traffic diverted to a left lane,and told, turn road and go back. Heavy rain all day since then, some shopping, and hoping that Thursday will be OK.Wednesday isn't looking good at all.How far up are you? Maybe you will have to stay put for a day or so as well.
