I have one quilt on the bed in the summer and about five in the winter. I found that either using flannel sheets, or having a large piece of fleece under me kept me from being cold until the weight of those quilts warmed me. =) Some other good advice in there, too. I didn't know about the key, but my deadbolts have a knob turn on the inside, so that's alright. Only my front door has one as my back door is two stories off the ground, and no stairs down from the deck. I hope I never have to jump that in the middle of the night!
